App links travel nurses to job openings

12/16/2016

My mother was a registered nurse who loved to work the night shift in the emergency room. Once I discovered that nurses were in demand everywhere, I tried to convince her to leave our sleepy Midwest town and relocate to somewhere more interesting. I pictured us living a sweet life in Florida, Colorado or even Hawaii.

If I was making my case today, I would show her Travel Nursing Jobs. It’s a mobile app that collects and displays thousands of job openings for nurses across the country.

Travel nursing appeals to nurses who love new challenges and an occasional change of scenery. They typically work under a contract and are free to move on once they fulfill the contract terms.

Using the app, nurses can browse the opening by location, employer or specialty using a map or a search form. The listings show the weekly gross pay range for each opening, contract terms and certification requirements. The app works offline, so users don’t have to have a live Internet connection to browse the listings.

Users can also ask to be notified when an opening is added that fits their interests or target location. An Apply Now button sends an expression of interest to a nursing recruiter.

Travel Nursing Jobs is available as a free download in both the iTunes App Store for iOS devices and in the Google Play Store for Androids. For more information, visit the Travel Nursing Jobs website.
