Remote To PC offers affordable monitoring

2/05/2015

I remember when my employer's computer support operation was a guy with a screwdriver and box of floppy discs. These days PC support is more likely to involve technicians at a command center who can remotely log in to your computer to diagnose and fix the problem.

Remote To PC is a new start-up that says it can match the service quality of older remote services for prices that can be half of what their competitors charge.

The service Remote To PC offers includes a dashboard that can monitor CPU, disk and memory usage with text alerts when any of those metrics go into a critical state. Support managers can log into troubled computers, even if they are offsite and need to connect over the Internet and through firewalls.

The Remote To PC website lists pricing plans for a Basic service that supports up to three PCs plus Business and Enterprise packages. Free trial versions are available for each level and the company is also accepting applications for beta testers.
