Superhero aims to tame Indonesia

7/11/2016

Anyone familiar with Jakarta, Indonesia, probably knows about its national monument. The marble obelisk celebrates the country’s independence and dominates the city’s skyline.

Monas, as the locals call it, also has a features role in Satria Nusantara, a new video game for Android mobiles that has its roots in Indonesia and uses the Jakarta’s streets for its playing field.

Players are cast in the role of new super hero who must survive Jakarta’s hectic traffic to earn points. Your characters has three simple moves to avoid obstacles: jump around them (good for dodging cars and trucks), slide away (good for avoiding street on the side of cliffs) and the roll up, a maneuver that you’ll need when you reach the Borobudur temple in Magelang,

Using simple screen swipes, the game is easy to learn and play but challenging to master.

It’s available as a free download in the Google Play Store.
