Volts has tough cables for Apple gear

10/30/2015

It drives me crazy when I see some family member tug on the cable to disconnect a device from its charging base.

I beg and plead and show them frayed and broken cables, but to no avail.  So this year, they can look for cables from Volts Solutions in their Christmas stockings.

Volts Solutions cables for Apple products are sheathed in braided nylon fiber and anodized aluminum. The braiding gives the cables a tough exterior and reduces or eliminates tangles. That means the cables will last longer, even when they are abused.

The cable and Lightning connection carries Apple’s MFi (Made for iPod/iPhone/iPad) seal of approval and the narrow aluminum plug housing fits most phone cases, including Otterbox and Maxboost. If it doesn’t fit, Volts says send it back and they will issue a refund.

The cables are available in gold, gray and silver in lengths up to 10 feet. Prices range from $8.98 to $19.99.

You can check out the full lineup at the Volts Solutions website and get a closer look at the cables in Rob Slaven’s video review below.
