With all the hosting services out there, finding a place to park your website isn’t difficult. The challenge is finding the right combination of price, service and reliability.
It was price that prompted me to check out AcclaimedHost, a New York-based service that’s been in business for about two years. AcclaimedHost can get you online with 3GB of disk space and 250GB of bandwidth for $4.95 a month. That price includes unlimited add-on domains, subdomains and email accounts.
Other packages include managed VPS service for $34.95 a month and dedicated hosting for less than $150 a month.
Of course, prices are only part of any hosting service’s story. AcclaimedHost also promises 24/7 tech support, daily backups and 99.9 percent uptime. You also get to use Softaculous, a highly-regarded utility for installing scripts and apps like WordPress.
