Moms find friends and help at Mom Meet Mom

One reason there are so many blogs and websites with advice for new mothers is it's easy for young moms to feel isolated, anxious and overwhelmed. But as valuable as those sites can be, they can't compare to a personal relationship with another woman in the same situation.

Mom Meet Mom is a web app developed by three young moms who wished there was something they could do to take the stress out of meeting other moms.

Moms who register on the website can get matched with other mothers in the same community who have children of similar ages. To make a match, the site uses a short questionnaire and a custom algorithm like the ones used by high profile dating sites.

The goal of the site is to help women find friends, get support and find playdate pals for their kids. "Our goal is to take the stress out of meeting moms," says the website. "No more shyly approaching other mothers on the playground or at PTA meetings and hoping for the best."
