Like it? Map it with FindXat

I have a colleague who likes to bring along his two boxer dogs when we meet for lunch. I'm fine with that, but it means we have to find restaurants that welcome pets.

I could make a list of pet-friendly eateries and keep it on my mobile phone, or I could try something new like FindXat. The mobile app lets  you select and tag locations on map and attach personal notes to each location. For example, I might note that a barbecue joint that we frequent not only allows dog, the servers there will bring them a bowl of water.

You can use FindXat to make geolocated notes about any topic. You might mark the shop that carries British magazines, the pub that stocks your favorite brew or a parking lot that has cheap rates. The notes and comments are shared with all FindXat users.

You check it out at the FindXat website or download the app for iPhones and iPads in the Apple iTunes App Store.
