Amazon offers Echo Dot for $10 off

11/24/2016

We’re spending the holiday weekend in California at my son’s house where the lights, TV and other things are controlled by Alexa and Amazon’s Echo Dot. So I was delighted to see that Amazon is offering the Dot at a special price today as part of its pre-Thanksgiving sale.

The 2nd generation Dot is a hands-free, voice-controlled device that uses Alexa to play music, control smart home devices, provide information, read the news, set alarms, and more. It connects to speakers or headphones through Bluetooth or 3.5 mm stereo cable to play music from Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio, and TuneIn.

And the control functions control  lights, fans, switches, thermostats, garage doors, sprinklers, and more with compatible connected devices from WeMo, Philips Hue, Samsung SmartThings, Nest, ecobee, and others.

Today’s the last day to get one for $39.95, a discount of $10 off the regular price. Click here to see more.
