Well, maybe. Do you know if the people following you are interested in what you post? Do you know if they are actually people and not accounts created by machines or link farms?
Fake followers are easy to get and while they might inflate your raw numbers, they can prompt legitimate Twitter users to ignore or penalize your account.
When you’re ready to clean up your Twitter account, check out a service called Tweepi and its Twitter unfollow app. Tweepi’s unfollow app will review and display all your followers and friends and let you filter out inactive or undesirable users. That includes egg profiles, bad avatars, or other undesirable users.
