Cream treats bruising caused by blood thinners

As if high blood pressure wasn't enough of a curse, people who take blood thinners tend to bruise easily. My father and my mother-in-law had to deal with dark red blotches on their arms caused by slight bumps that wouldn't leave a mark on most people.

Now scientists and researchers are still discovering properties in natural plant extracts that can be effective in treating a variety of ailments, including bruising and skin inflammation.

A skin cream called Dermaka, that is made with plant extracts and vitamins, was developed by a surgeon to minimize the redness that can occur after surgery or laser treatments. Another physician, Dr. John V. Dunne, has endorsed Dermaka for treatment of bruising related to blood thinners. Here's what he told Dermaka:

As a vascular surgeon on blood thinners, I found the resolution of bruising in just 5 days remarkable.

Dermaka says its cream includes pineapple extract; licorice extract to reduce redness and inflammation; chamomile extract for its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties; green tea extract to stimulate skin microcirculation; and vitamin A and E to promote regeneration of cells.
