Buyonick puts appliance shopping online

6/14/2016

Buyonick
I like shopping for appliances about as much as I like shopping for a car, which is not much at all. They both require sorting through a confusing array or makes, models and features, visits to retailers and conversations with sales people. I have better things to do.

Online car sites have made vehicle shopping easier and less unpleasant. Now there’s a service Buyonick that hopes to do the same with appliance shopping. Buyonick started with a pilot project in San Francisco and has not expanded throughout the US with a website and  an iOS app.

Users search for an appliance by entering a specific brand an model or browse through categories that include ranges, microwaves, ovens, refrigerators dishwashers and even televisions. When an appliance model catches your attention, log in to get responses and price quotes from local dealers and online sources.

The service spend a direct channel to a seller, reduces shopping and bargaining time, and gives small local appliance stores a chance to compete with bugger competitors.

You can take the service for a test drive at the Buyonick website or download the free app in the iTunes App Store.
