Kids Xap links parents with child care centers and staff

3/10/2016

When our kids went to daycare and preschool, we made it a point to talk to their teachers and caregivers as often as possible. We want to know how they behaved, what they might have learned and if they were interacting well with the adults and other children. But getting that information wasn’t easy. We were often hurried at morning drop-off time and they were harried at the end of the day.

Today there are new tools to help parents and caregivers communicate, even when they can’t talk in person. Kids Xap is cloud-based software that helps the staff at childcare centers manage the business side of the center and the human part of dealing with children and their parents.

The software has a full menu of features that include staff rosters and time sheets, payment collection and reporting tools. It also lets caregivers enter daily observations about the children in a form that can be access by parents when it’s most convenient for them. They use the system to enter an injury report get medication requests from guardians.

The latest version of Kids Xap incorporates apps for iOS and Android phones and tablets. There’s a version for parents and another for center staff.

Anyone interested in getting a closer look at the system can book a demo at the Kids Xap website. The mobile apps are available in the iTunes App Store and the Google Play Store and the company share news and information @xaptech on Twitter.
