In the early days of the Internet, anyone wanting to create and distribute an animated GIF had to have a fair bit of knowledge about graphics, animation and programming.
Today, all they need is an app.
Send Gif is an iOS app that will automatically merge a set of images into single animation. The resulting file is far smaller than video files and can be posted on a blog or send to friends in an email.
The app comes in a free version, Send Gif Lite, which works with still images. The Pro version will work with video files and costs 99 cents. Both are available in the iTunes App Store.
