Chrome plug-in makes the New Tab page come alive

Do you remember how excited you were when web browsers added tabs? With tabs, you could customize your browser to give you rolling access to your favorite websites.

Now there’s a browser utility called Elegant New Tab that lets you enhance and personalize your browsing experience even more.

The Chrome extension replaces the New Tab page with one that looks and functions better than the Google default. With a transparent material design that features color adaptive ripple effects, your favorite and recent tabs appear floating on a pleasing and colorful background.

You can have a new background image delivered every day or install you own favorite image. Other options include a new quote posted every minute and live animated weather data. Elegant New Tab is built on open source code, so you can expect more features in the future.
