Just how far can this emoji craze go?
First emoji lovers made libraries of creative emoji that could be installed on mobile devices. Then a couple of years ago Makemoji released an app with a built-in tool that let anyone make and share the tine works of art. Now Makemoji has launched a software developer’s kit that can put custom emoji into their apps.
The new release is a free in-app keyboard SDK that gives users instant access to more that 5,000 emojis and to a library of community-created designs that is exploding with more than 1,000 new contributions every month.
Makemoji says the SDK will help app developers and publishers increase user engagement and retention to generate revenue for the apps they work with. In addition, they will have the ability to create and upload branded emojis that could lead to more revenue opportunities.
Partners partners will be given access to Makemoji’s admin dashboard where they can add or remove any emojis from the library and have full control over the emojis that are shown in their app. They will also be able to easily add new emojis or Gifs to their keyboard without pushing an app update.
