This charging hub has 8 USB plugs and wireless Qi

11/08/2015

You can buy cheap charging cables and adapters almost anywhere, but I’ve learned there can be a big difference in quality between one charging system and another. And, there’s always the annoying tangle of boxes and cables when you have a fueling area for multiple gadgets.

The Nexodus LifeLine charger looks like a good solution to that problem. It’s not just a single outlet, it’s a charging hub that has USB ports for up to eight devices plus a Qi wireless charging pad to power up Qi enabled devices.

The Qi system - pronounced “chee,” from he Chinese word meaning natural energy - is a wireless system that  works with Qi-enabled devices. That list includes the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, LG G4 and the Google Nexus 6 along with many Qi phone and tablet cases.

The Nexodus has a maximum charging output of 12Amps or 60Watts, enough to charge most phones and tablets as well as music players, portable speakers, digital cameras and other personal electronics.

The device comes with a universal plug socket that adapts for US, UK, EU, Australian and South Africa Plug types. And the folks at Chinavision throw in a USB-C cable, a new multi-function cable designs that looks like it will be the next standard format.

The Nexodus LifeLine costs $34.99 at the Chinavision Wholesale Electronics & Gadgets online store.
