TruFinancial builds native apps for stock and funds clients

6/10/2015

Think about the times when you need quick and accurate information, on your mobile device, about your favorite sports team. Maybe you want to check game schedule, player roster or statistics. Do you choose your browser, or the native application created by the team, the one made specifically for your mobile phone or tablet?

Yeah, that’s a no-brainer. No matter how responsive the website, it will always be trumped by a native app.

The people behind TrueFinancial Technologies believe the same is true for people who use their mobile devices to get investor information. They might own stock in a publicly-traded company or money invested with a mutual fund, asset manager, private equity fund or venture fund.

Here’s how they put it on their own website: “Having a mobile website just isn't good enough when 89% of your investors are getting their information from Native Mobile apps.”

TruFinancial builds mobile platforms that help financial institutions use mobile technology to support their customers, investors and other interested parties.

Their TrueIR product, designed for the investor relations departments at publicly-traded companies, delivers stock information including price, charts, daily volume and market cap. It also has social media, a directory of contact personnel and a schedule of events.

TrueFUND is an app for funds and asset managers. It lets customers view their account information and lets the managers push information directly to them.
