Joker Slot Machine brings slots to iOS

When I was a kid growing up in Chicago, visiting Uncle Al was always a treat. Al owned a string of coin machines, so his house was always well stocked with penny candy and little Cracker Jack toys.

But the real fun was in Al’s basement where he had a real working slot machine. With a pile of Al’s quarters, his son and I would be busy for hours pulling the big hand lever and trying to hit a jackpot. When we ran out of quarters, as we always did, he would just hand over more.

I remembered Al’s house when I came across Joker Slot Machine, an iOS app that recreates the simplicity of those old slot machines.  You bet a simulated coin or two, press the Spin button and see if you get matching clown faces or some other winning combination.

Three matching clown faces pays between 10 and 25 times your bet. Spin AAA and the payout is 40x. Instead of quarters, the Joker takes credits that you purchase in the app using real money. If you lose, there's no Uncle Al to replenish your stake.

Joker Slot Machine costs 99 cents in the iTunes App Store and you are supposed to be 17 or older to download it.
