Picture to People offers free graphic effects

2/16/2015

I used to envy my artist and designer friends because they could produce great-looking images and logos. Then I discovered Picture to People, a website that lets anyone produce the same attractive digital art without having a lick of PhotoShop skills.

Picture to People is a free graphic design portal that offers staggering array of filters and effects for both photos and text.

What sort of effects? Here are just a few examples: curled pages; burnt wood; photo typography; ice, fire, fur and hair text; words in glitter, horror or wall graffiti; sand; water; cartoon and pencil sketch. The list goes on and on.

Applying the effect to text or images is a simple process. For each effect, the website presents an input screen that lets you set various levels such as color improvement (bright, hot, pastel etc.) and smoothness or contour levels. Then upload an image that's no more than 3MB or type in your text. You can preview the result and download a new file when you're satisfied.

All images produced by the Picture to People website are free and can be used for personal or commercial purposes. If you like the finished product, P2P asks that you "support us with some social love" on Facebook, @PictureToPeople on Twitter or on Google+.
