In developing JURNL, Tony Berkman set out to create a publishing platform that would be easy to use and great to look at. It also had to support a community of contributors.
"JURNL makes it simple and worthwhile for writers to join and create content," Berkman said in his Indiegogo funding campaign. "This aspect of JURNL is and will always be critical because with community small to mid sized bloggers are able to create plenty of content and elevate their publications to be on par with content being created by the world's most popular sites."
Websites that have been created with JURNL are sharp and attractive. Community members get well-designed profiles and easy options to invite others to contribute.
Other JURNL features include a showcase for the site's most popular authors, polls that can be shared on social media, the ability to schedule emails to community members and support for mobile display.
