Tripcoin tracks travel expenses

When the boss says you you can only spend $1,000 to travel to a trade show or professional conference, a budget-tracking app could be a big help.

A new app called Tripcoin from Causania lets you quickly add expenses such as food, lodging and taxi rides. The app gives you a running total for each day and for the entire trip.

Tripcoin supports unlimited trips and unlimited entries in each trip. It displays text in English or Spanish and supports more than 100 currencies. You don't need an Internet connection to enter data but an on-board currency converter will be updated each time you are online. Other useful features include the ability to export reports as photos or Excel data.

Tripcoin is available free in the Apple iTunes store.
